What is involved in the Program?

  • Well-balanced, nutritious eating, using everyday foods from supermarkets and restaurants. Emphasis is placed on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, and lean meats.
  • Behavior modification (techniques that help change poor eating habits) and planned food intake.
  • Supplements to help stabilize blood sugar.
  • Suggested Vitamin C, Calcium and Potassium supplements while on the reducing program.
  • Suggested exercise routines for best results.
  • Individual counseling. You will meet with your counselor 1 to 3 times each week. Your counselor will answer questions and help keep you motivated throughout your program.

The Program is Tailored to You and Your Metabolism

The program begins with an in-depth discussion with your counselor about your goals, eating habits, food preferences and lifestyle. Bioelectric impedance is used to assess your basal metabolic rate and body composition. Your counselor will use this information to personalize your plan.

Personal Attention is What Sets Us Apart

At Diet for Health, you will be working closely with an experienced, knowledgeable and caring counselor who takes the time to get to know you. She will work with your goals and preferences, your lifestyle and personality to help guide you through the program. We know that losing weight is a different process for each individual and we strive to meet each ones unique needs.

The Medical Community

Diet for Health counselors are not medical professionals. They do, however, maintain a close working relationship with a dietician and the clients physician, relying on his/her recommendations. With the involvement from the personal physician, the counselor adjusts the program to meet the individuals needs. Your health is our highest priority!
