Joyce Ruygrok founded Diet for Health in 1980 and has since helped over 3000 local residents improve their eating habits. During her years of service she has become a trusted friend, role model and inspiration to just about everyone who knows her…nobody is as wise or motivating as Joyce when it comes to making tough dietary changes. Lorraine Burkett
Lorraine Burkett helps clients stay on track with support, motivation and by setting a great example. In addition to caring for her husband, 2 teenagers and 2 dogs, Lorraine makes time to operate her own business, work two jobs, stay in shape and share her enthusiasm for life. Lorraine is a lifelong resident of La Crescenta and has earned the nickname “Toughgirl” because in setting such a high standard for herself she has ruined others’ ability to use “no time” as an excuse for neglecting their health!

Jasper
Jasper keeps us company at the office and is always willing to do a “victory dance” to celebrate a client’s success. He is learning to become a nutritionist himself, as he will play dead upon hearing the words “French fries” or “cheesecake”. Most of all, with his willingness to eat anything anytime, he reminds us that our biology was not designed for resisting temptation, which is why a supportive nutrition team can make all the difference!
