Hello! 29 brave souls participated in the 2008 Taix 8-week Weight Loss Challenge. Congratulations to everyone!
First of all, remember that this contest was judged by improvement in body composition. That means the goal
was to lose fat and gain muscle.
Absolute pounds lost on the scale can be misleading, so we used change
in body fat % to determine the winner.
Here are the results.
Overall, participants lost an average of
almost 2.8% body fat.
Remember, if you weigh 150 pounds and
you lose 2.8% body fat, you have lost 4.2 pounds of fat. That's almost 17 sticks of butter!
You could also accomplish this by gaining 4.2 pounds of muscle, or a
combination of the two.
On average, the men lost 2.5% and
the women lost 2.9%.
On average, bootcampers lost
2.7% and people that work out with a personal trainer
lost almost 2.9%.
